Hello, My name is Tamara. I am 25 years old.I started experimenting with fore-edge painting in 2023 and it completely changed my life. I have been doing art and reading fantasy books from a very young age. I grew up reading Harry Potter and I was 14 years old when I was introduced to the world of Eragon, which is when my obsession with dragons started. Even then my art was themed mostly around fantasy topics.
About me
After middle-school I studied physiotherapy at University. I loved learning about anatomy and the physiology of the human body, I find it a fascinating system. I finished my studies and received a bachelor's degree. After university I started working at a hospital. Unfortunately, I felt that this career was not for me.
This is when I returned to art, the hobby I had neglected during my years at University. My passion reignited. I was so stoked to sit down at the end of the workday and work on my books.
I started the @pictalibri Instagram page in 2024. I was truly awestruck by the engagement and the support the page received. Thanks to my Murtagh painting within the first month I got into contact with Mr. Christopher Paolini.
In the January of 2025 I decided to hang up my hospital boots, and turn to fore-edge painting as my full-time career. It was a decision which had I not made, I would have regretted for the rest of my life. It turned out to be the best decision of my life. I wake each morning looking forward to picking up the brush and each night I am excited to learn something new about the craft.
